Jim Lynch Steel provides steel fabrication, laser cutting and metalworking services for businesses, farms and residential customers throughout the Northern Rivers.

Precision laser cutting for custom components, fabrication and production work.

Our Bystronic CO2 laser cutting service produces complex profiles and components directly from digital drawings, handling sheet metal up to 3m x 1.5m and 20mm thick — suitable for everything from one-off parts through to repeat production runs.

Laser cutting is commonly used for brackets, plates, gussets, machine components, signage and agricultural parts — including components that will later be folded or fabricated in our workshop.

If you already have a drawing or CAD file, send it through for review. If you're starting from an existing component, sketch or idea, we're happy to discuss your requirements.

We manufacture custom steel and aluminium components and assemblies to suit the requirements of each job. Whether it's a one-off bracket, a machine component, a fabricated frame or a larger custom project, we can assist from initial measurements or drawings through to finished fabrication.

Depending on the job, our fabrication work combines cutting, folding, MIG and TIG welding, drilling, milling and assembly under one roof — with 3D CAD modelling available to refine designs before cutting begins.

When machinery is damaged, worn or no longer supported by the original manufacturer, fabrication can often provide a practical repair solution.

We repair steel components, reinforce existing structures, modify machinery and manufacture replacement parts to suit existing equipment. We also stock a range of hydraulic fittings and cylinders for quick hydraulic repairs, and offer sharpening to keep cutting tools performing at their best.

CNC Folding & Press Brake

Accurate CNC folding for custom sheet and plate components on our 4.1 metre, 220 tonne press brake.

Our 4.1 metre, 220 tonne CNC press brake folds cut components into finished parts for fabrication, assembly or standalone use.

Folding is combined with our laser cutting and fabrication services, allowing components to move from flat material through cutting, forming and fabrication within the same workshop — keeping dimensions accurate and turnaround simple.
